called for continued peace, unity, progress and prosperity in Nigeria
Industrialist and philanthropist, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has called for continued peace, unity, progress and prosperity in Nigeria as he visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with his son, Khalifa, to mark the country’s 66th Independence anniversary.
The business leader , who described the visit as an opportunity to reflect on Nigeria’s journey and look ahead with hope, extended his Independence Day greetings to the President and Nigerians at home and abroad.
“Honoured to once again visit His Excellency, the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, with Khalifa, and to extend our warm wishes on the occasion of Nigeria’s Independence Day,” the champion of commerce wrote.
And, added : “It is always a pleasure to share such moments as we reflect on our nation’s journey and look forward with hope to the future.”
His message came as Nigerians marked 66 years of independence amid continuing efforts to strengthen the economy, expand infrastructure and create opportunities for a growing population.
The king of commerce urged Nigerians to remain hopeful about the country’s future, saying, “Wishing all Nigerians, at home and abroad, a very Happy Independence Day. May our beloved country continue to enjoy peace, unity, progress and prosperity.”
The visit and message also reflected Rabiu’s longstanding interest in Nigeria’s economic and social development through his business and philanthropic activities.

As founder and chairman of BUA Group, Rabiu has built significant interests in sectors including manufacturing, foods and infrastructure, with the group among the major private-sector players in Nigeria’s industrial landscape.
His philanthropic platform, the Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative, ASR Africa, has focused on interventions in areas including education, healthcare and social development.
Those activities have formed part of Rabiu’s broader emphasis on contributing to national development, alongside investment and enterprise.
For him, the occasion of Independence Day provided an opportunity to look beyond the challenges confronting the country and reaffirm hope in its future.
As Nigeria moves into another year of independence, the philanthropist ’s message was centred on the need for the country to sustain the values of peace and unity while pursuing progress and prosperity.
“May our beloved country continue to enjoy peace, unity, progress and prosperity,” he said.
