Senior Lawyer Reacts To Akeredolu’s Aide Labelling Dep Gov “Nonentity”

Senior Lawyer, Ebun Olu Adegboruwa has reacted to the branding of Ondo state Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa as a “nonenty’ by Doyin Odebowale, an aide to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

Adegboruwa, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria aired his opinion on the development in a post he headlined “Arrogance of Power!!” that reads…

“An AIDE to a Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Doyin Odebowale, appeared on live television to describe a Deputy Governor as NON ENTITY.

Not ending there, he then grouped the entire people of Ondo South as those familiar with “doing stupid” things. And it is from the sweat, natural resources and tax of these people that the said aide is being paid his salary.

Public officers must learn to respect the people that they govern and also perfect the style of public relations.

“The Governor who I know will never descend to such vulgarism, no matter the provocation. His Excellency must distance himself from this unjustified profiling of the entire people of Ondo South by getting the aide to withdraw the comment and to also apologize.

This is one of the reasons that we advocate for free and fair elections in order to keep leaders accountable to the people, as no aide who knows that his principal is liable to the people will proceed to insult them so blatantly.”
