Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the self-acclaimed leader of all progressives in Nigeria across party lines is keeping a low profile.
He has not showed reaction directly or through aides to the mindless killing of #EndSars protesters at Lekki Toll gate, Lagos hours after the development.
EndSars protesters singing the Nigerian National anthem and flying the National flag were indiscriminately shot at by people identified to be military men on the evening of Tuesday, October 20, 2020.
The perpetrators carried out the act under the cover of darkness when the street lights were switched off.

The protesters defied a 24hours curfew imposed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in a desperate attempt to disperse them.
They had been at the protest ground for 12days.
The #EndSars protesters claimed the rule of curfew is for citizens to stay where they are when it comes into effect, they insisted that they would stay at the Lekki protest ground until the curfew lasted.
But people widely labeled soldiers mindlessly shot at them under the cover of darkness killing and maiming them.
While Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu who was heavily criticized, abused, and cursed for the initial statement of “investigating to determine the people who carried out the attack” has changed his tune to” powers beyond him” and started showing empathy by visiting victims at hospitals, Tinubu who is widely acknowledged as the power behind the politics of Lagos State and decorated with talks of a presidential ambition remains in the shadow.

The mindless attack against the #EndSars protesters came the same day Tinubu released a statement warning to protesters against forcing the government to use force by their lack of strategic approach.
The statement from Tinubu who is one of the chief promoters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and staunch supporter of the government of President Muhammadu Buhari came on the heels of a violent twist to the #protests in other parts of Lagos State – and Nigeria.
Tinubu built his profile and clout as a political heavyweight and national leader for his quick responses and comments on issues that affect Nigeria, especially Lagos state before helped to enthrone Buhari as the President of Nigeria.
