Odumbaku Named Special Adviser To CCC Pastor Worldwide Oshoffa
on General Matters and Inter-Governmental Relations
The Pastor and Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, Reverend E.M.F Oshoffa, has appointed Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku as Special Adviser to the Pastor and Spiritual Head on General Matters and Inter-Governmental Relations.
Odunmbaku, who is of the Celestial Church of Christ City of God Cathedral and the Soulwinners Ambassadors International Ministry, was also appointed as a member of the Pastor in Council (MPIC 2026–2030), CCC Worldwide.
The appointments were announced on Monday, May 25, 2026, during a thank-you visit by Odunmbaku and a high-powered delegation from the City of God Cathedral and Soulwinners Ambassadors International Ministry to the pastoral residence in Magodo.
The visit followed the recent courtesy visit of Reverend Oshoffa and his wife, Mother Celestial Celine Oshoffa, to Cardinal Odunmbaku.
Speaking during the visit, Odunmbaku expressed profound appreciation to the Spiritual Head of the church “for finding him worthy of such key appointments in the Celestial Church of Christ.”
He pledged what he described as his “unalloyed loyalty to the Pastoral Seat,” while assuring the church leadership of his commitment to work closely with the Oshoffa administration “for the unity, peace, growth, progress and overall development of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide.”
“I am ready and willing to work hand in hand with the EMF administration in advancing the vision and mission of the church globally,” Odunmbaku was quoted as saying.
He also prayed for “the longevity, strength and good health” of Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa.
The atmosphere at the pastoral residence was filled with cheers and excitement as the letters of appointment were formally presented to the cleric amid what observers described as “ovation, love, joy and great expectations.”
Church members and leaders at the gathering expressed optimism that the appointments would further strengthen the administration of the church and deepen ongoing efforts aimed at fostering harmony and development within the worldwide fold of the Celestial Church of Christ.
