Insiders insist that all talks are all absolute fallacy.

That is the emerging assertions that former Minister Musiliu Obanikoro is warming his way back into the camp of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and opposition party All Progressives Congress to achieve much sought ambition of becoming Lagos Governor.

Obanikoro in a move which sent massive shock waves across political borders dumped Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his team to become a top level player of opposition party, People’s Democratic Party.

With the influence of the PDP then in charge of the Federal Government, he caused Asiwaju and his party from Action Congress to All Progressives Congress untold grief.

“It was a do or die affair while the political fight lasted” an insider testified.

The fight obviously came to an end after Asiwaju Tinubu teamed up with other players and his party took charge of the Federal Government.

“And Obanikoro’s grief started… his past deeds as a PDP top man were looked into and he became a person of interest for anti corruption agencies’’ a source surmised.

A time in prison custody while he negotiated refund of allegedly ill gotten wealth found it’s way into his resume.

And with it came talks he has resumed “friendship” with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Though there are speculations he has decamped, Obanikoro insists otherwise.

But as talks of plotting to become governor of Lagos state on the platform of APC entered the fray, insiders claim – “it’s all absolute fallacy and nonsense”.

And a source put it in clearer perspective “it’s a relationship of convenience …Obanikoro is relating with promoters of the current party in charge of the federal government to seek refuge from his troubles and Asiwaju is using the opportunity to demystify him… based on their antecedents making Obanikoro governor is like arming a nuclear bomb against himself and there is the major issue of, what happens to those loyalists who stood fast when Obanikoro abandoned and persecuted him and all of them jointly ?”
