More Troubles For Dino Melaye’s Re-Election Ambition

The ambition of Senator Dino Melaye to retain his seat is being buffeted by more troubles.

Sources disclosed that away from Governor Yahaya Bello’s intense opposition, the Kogi Senator has another major political turbulence to contend with.

Youths in his Kogi West senatorial district have dumped him to support another aspirant.

Emerging details have it that Ex-Director of the State Security Service Toyin Akanle is the preferred choice of the youths.

And they are not hiding their political preference.

At a recent news conference in Lokoja, the youths claim support for Akanle is borne out of the need to give the Yagba Federal Constituency the chance to produce the next senator from Kogi West.

The spokesperson for the Youths Babatunde Teidi stated on their behalf “We the Kogi West youths have not just decided to come out with one voice in favour of Akanle, we have decided to harmonise our voices in the interest of the constituents of Kogi West. We are well convinced that Akanle is indeed a priority to us all as he holds us to be important”.
