Kate Henshaw Accepts Defeat In House Of Reps Bid, ‘Sad’ Over Loss

Actress Kate Henshaw’s strive to become official party candidate in bid to represent the Calabar South/Akpabuyo/Bakassi at the Federal House of Representatives didn’t turn out as planned.

She lost out in the contest to become the flag bearer of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

The election held on Saturday December 6 2014 in Calabar, Cross River State.

The actress who was one of the entertainers to declare early interest in elective politics has however accepted the defeat in good faith. But expressed sadness at the loss.

In social media message (twitter), Henshaw described the primary election that dumped her out as ‘ conducted in an orderly manner’ ‘fair and transparent’.

She equally went on to congratulate the winner and appreciated all that stood by her.
