How Transport Boss MC Oluomo Missed Becoming Lagos Council Boss As Leverage To Secure Higher Office, Refuses To Back Down!

But for determined efforts, transport union boss Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo would have become the council chairman in Oshodi /Isolo( Lagos ).

Insiders disclosed though he has serially missed attaining this feat by whiskers, the treasurer of the Lagos state chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers has definitely not done away with the ambition

“That is his hidden ambition, he wants to use it as an entry point into big-time politicking and to secure a higher elective office… He is keeping it quiet to limit oppositions he would contend with” an insider disclosed.

Checks revealed Asiwaju Bola Tinubu stands in the way of Oluomo achieving his dream.

The All Progressives Congress power broker has refused to entertain the thoughts of Oluomo becoming a public office holder under his watch.

“Right from the days of ACN (Action Congress of Nigeria ) Asiwaju has rebuffed the moves to give party ticket to Oluomo to become council chairman” a source disclosed.

Insiders disclosed this even in the face of the transport boss making Fuji King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal his chief campaigner – when the latter was the apple of Asiwaju’s eye.

“At a point, Wasiu was the front man for the agenda, he was the go-between for Oluomo with the party leaders and but when the campaign got to Asiwaju, he told them point-blank things had not gone bad to the point of having to field an Oluomo to win an election” a source disclosed.

The transport union boss is one of the main street muscles used by Asiwaju and his party for grass root mobilization.

Despite the “usefulness” of Oluomo and his likes, Asiwaju Tinubu is apparently conscious of the danger in letting them directly accessing political power directly.

“That is why he Asiwaju has kept Oluomo where he belongs, on the streets…the thinking is that if Oluomo gets away with it, others would follow suit and before you know it…street characters would fill elective positions using fear tactics and violence to win elections” an insider provider better insight.

However despite the setback, he is experiencing, insiders disclosed Oluomo has refused to back down on his “political ambition” and working quietly to see it come to light someday.
