Firefighters Give Update On Outbreak At Muritala Muhammed Airport

The Federal Fire Service wishes to inform the public that its operational personnel from the Ebute Metta Fire Station, Lagos State Command, are currently responding to a fire outbreak at the Old Terminal of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos State.

The incident, which began at about 3:30 p.m., is still ongoing as firefighting operations continue. Our officers are working in collaboration with other emergency responders, including the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and the Lagos State Fire Service, to contain and extinguish the fire.

As at the time of this report, no loss of life has been recorded.

The Service assures the public that all necessary measures are being taken to bring the situation under control. Further details will be communicated as more information becomes available.
