Ex Presidential Aide, Wariponmowei Dudafa, Dame Patience Jonathan Quarrel Deepens

Quarrel between Wariponmowei Dudafa, the once upon a time anointed gubernatorial aspirant and his major backer former first lady Dame Patience Goodluck has deepened.

Sources confirmed that the conflict between them is now such that they openly work against each other’s interest.

Dame Patience formerly backing Dudafa to unseat re election seeking Governor Seriake Dickson when her husband was President of the Federal republic of Nigeria has reversed her stance.

Along with her husband, she now openly supports Dickson’s moves to retain his seat.

The Jonathans were highly visible at Governor Dickson’s formal declaration staged on Tuesday September 8 2015 – campaigned for him as well as a show of support.

Wariponmowei a former senior special assistant to immediate past president Jonathan when he was in power made good earlier proclamation. He shunned the event.

The man who came to political reckoning and public consciousness on the shoulders of presidential powers formerly wielded by the Jonathan had earlier distanced himself from their pledge of support for Dickson.

He claimed Dickson would fail woefully irrespective of support from his former mentors.

Duafada is said to be backing political party All Progressives Grand Alliance in the state.

Already the estranged Dame Patience protégé is credited with sponsoring APGA candidate Abiye Tarabina into office as State House of Assemble member.

Information filtering in to societynowng.com revealed that at the helms of affairs of Dudafa’s confidence to move against his backers is a touted $50million largesse.

Though some claimed the fund was meant for safe keeping, information here and there claimed the estranged aspirant asserted it was meant to prosecute his gubernatorial ambition.

His refusal to refund the money when the Jonathan lost out in attempts to extend their rule was said to have sparked off discord between them.

Informants alleged it is this fund complemented with others he got as campaign donations when he still had presidential clout behind his name that he is now employing against the interest of the Jonathans.

‘his problem with Dickson is that the political war has turned personal…he went all out against governor Dickson because he never imagined president Jonathan would lose election…to now retrace the step is hard..he is stuck as opposition and it is even better for him, because as opposition he has control of the funds he got as aspirant..if he aligned his interest with the Jonathans he loses that control’ a source stated

Sources confirmed Dufada’s current stance has deepened his sizzling political animosity with the Jonathans – and as things stands the discord appears to be one that would last for a while.
