Details: Court Says No Protection For Ex CBN Dep Gov Milafia From Invitation By Police

The court has dismissed an application by Obadiah Mailafia seeking protection from an investigation by the police.

Mailafia is currently undergoing investigation over a case his name featured prominently according to the assertion by the Police.

Mailafia, a former Deputy Governor of Central Bank was invited by investigators at the Force Headquarters, Abuja last month.

The former CBN governor declined the invitation and headed to the court for protection.

The court has, however, dismissed his application.

Before the invitation by the police, Mailafia was the subject of interest by the Department of State Security over claims that the commander of the dreaded insurgent Boko Haram is a serving northern governor.

He is yet to name the ‘’northern governor’’ or establish the claim.
