Gubernatorial candidate Bayo Adelabu has his eyes on yet another big thing, information pieced together by societynow.ng revealed.
According to sources, he wants to be a minister in the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Bayo Adelabu a former Deputy Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria was the candidate of ruling All Progressives Congress in Oyo State during the 2019 election.
He was defeated by the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party Engineer Seyi Makinde.
Seyi Makinde was sworn in as the governor of Oyo state on May 29, 2019.
Checks by societynow.ng showed plans to ensure the former banker’s new dream turns a reality is already on.
There are strong indications he has a good number of state executive members , local governent chairmen as well as party leaders working for his cause behind the scene.
Findings equally revealed Mr Adelabu has started working on men of influence around President Buhari on the matter.
“You know he has a number of contacts around the seat of power and don’t forget he was a Deputy Governor at the CBN”, an insider maintains.
Before the latest development, the former banker had initiated moves to take over the structure of APC in Oyo State.
Adelabu takes on former governor Abiola Ajimobi who is also keen to become a minister in this latest Political ambition.
