Curtain Falls On 2016 Whirl Wind Of Fun, Glo Campus Storm As Last Edition Berths At Imo State University Friday

The last 2016 edition of the popular music concert sponsored by Globacom, Glo Campus Storm as a reward for Nigerian students, holds on Friday at the Imo State University, Owerri.
Globacom announced the round-off of the concert this year in tertiary institutions across the country, saying that it felt fulfilled with the receptions accorded the concert in all the institutions where the shows were staged.
Said the company, “The last lap of our flagship show, the Glo Campus Storm takes place at the Imo State University, IMSU, Owerri, this Friday. We are delighted that we have been able to put smiles on the faces of tens of thousands of our youths in tertiary institutions across the country who enjoyed the show in 2016. We have provided them with world-class entertainment and also empowered them financially too through the Glo Campus Data Dude and the Glo Campus Data Diva contests”.
According to the network, the feedback received across the schools where the shows were held “has been very encouraging and we wish to assure other institutions which are yet to take their turn that they should expect a bumper package in the coming year.”
Katapot exponent, Reekado Banks and Mungo Park crooner, Korede Bello, both members of the sensational music family, Mavin Records, are billed to perform while dancehall king, Runtown, will be on hand to entertain the students. Star comedian, 2CanTalk will be anchoring the show with DJ XGee on the jukebox.
One of the highlights of the IMSU show is a beauty pageant to crown the IMSU Glo Campus Data Dude and the Glo Campus Data Diva who will slug it out during the show. Ten students out of the contestants will stand the chance of winning up to N100,000 each as well as the opportunity to join 230 others to contest for the grand prize of a scholarship to the tune of N1million and the chance to become Glo Brand Ambassadors and invitations to attend Globacom’s A-list events including Glo-CAF Awards, Glo Slide ‘n’ Bounce concert and Glo Laffta Fest comedy show.
Globacom enjoined students and staff of the university who wish to witness the show to recharge their lines with N500 worth of Glo Campus Data Booster.
Glo Campus storm kicked off on October 14, 2016 and was staged in nine tertiary institutions before IMSU.
