Fast food provider, Chicken Republic has yanked off the advert mocking People’s Democratic Party spokesperson, Olisa Metuh’s alleged eating of confessional statement made while in custody of anti graft agency Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Metuh was alleged to have committed the act when given statement he wrote to sign off on, after investigators read through.

The PDP spokesman was said to have shredded the confessional statement and stuffed it into his mouth with intent to eat and turn it into an unreadable mash.
Officers present reportedly prevented him.

Though Matuh has since denied the allegation through third party, he is currently facing a criminal charge in court for his conduct.

Olisa Metuh Fast food company, Chicken Republic had attempted to leverage on the Metuh’s infamy by hitting town with an advert via it’s twitter handle @chickenrepublic.

The advert material had a flying chicken with a pack of the company’s food moving to toward an EFCC detention facility- shown with the agency’s trademark logo- with the announcement ‘’Special Delivery For Olisa’’.

The campaign had the catchy banner statement ‘’why eat your words when you can eat our meals’’

The development had attracted huge blow back against the campaign.

Though some complimented the wizardry behind the concept, many lashed out against the Fastfood company for taking sides in political matters.
And apparently judging the tide is moving against it’s apparent intention at humour, the fast food company has yanked off what many labelled ‘’offensive advert’’.

Checks by societynowng.com revealed the advert which hit town on Friday January 15 2016 is no more a feature at @chickenrepublic at press time.
