Again, Moves To Reconcile Gov Ibikunle Amosun, Returnee Party man Aremo Segun Osoba Afoot!

Information filtering to societynowng.com revealed an intense reconciliatory attempt.

And it has differing political factors in the same party at either ends – Aremo Olusegun Osoba and Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

And the move is labelled creating an environment that would enable them to work together at least for the ‘’common good of the party’’.

The warring politicians from Ogun state are members of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

Their ‘’fight’’ had attained such an height that Aremo Osoba, a former governor of Ogun state left the party to reawaken the political fortune of another political party, Social Democratic Party – along with his teeming supporters – in the raging battle with re election seeking incumbent, Ibikunle Amosun.

The move by Osoba proved ill fated.

He failed to win any of the electoral contests at stake- with all elected pubic officials that went with him losing their seats to Governor’s Amosun’s candidates, including Aremo Osoba’s son Olumide’s Federal House of Representative’s slot.

After the disastrous showing at the pool, Osoba had quietly retraced his steps to the All Progressives Congress.

But insiders claim his enmity with Amosun is far from over.

His return is said to have unsettled Amosun and his backers with speculations of hidden antic to wage a fresh battle to fight for the party structure and political might from within decorating Osoba and his followers.

Societynowng.com learnt to contain the situation stakeholders, including some of the key supporters of Amosun have initiated reconciliatory moves.

‘’íf the situation is not contained, it would just be a re-enactment of the situation that brought Amosun to power in his first term..the PDP (People’s Democratic Party) were at war with
themselves and ended up gifting victory to Amosun with their internal bickering that

resulted in anti party activities, we don’t want that scenario in this case’’ an insider stated.

Societynowng.com learnt informal talks are on going between the two warring APC leaders in Ogun state but the outcome appears ‘’not as colourful as expected’’.

‘’but the talks are ongoing…the hope is to see Osoba publicly come out to endorse Amosun and the governor openly acknowledged the former state helmsman is leader..all for the progress of the party’’ a source stated.

Ayodele Isiaka ,House of Representatives member representing Ifo, Ewekoro in a public comment confirmed the ongoing agenda when he asserted ‘’ “The difference between them was political rather than personal. We are going to work with both of them,”
He spoke with online platform premiumtimes.

Isiaka owe is rise to political office to the clout and influence of Governor Amosun.
