8 Things To Do At The Gathering On 100 Kano Edition, According to Gatherers
Their answers? Very interesting, slightly chaotic
The Gathering on 100 is heading to Kano on July 11, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM. At this point, if Lagos, Aba, and Enugu have taught us anything, it’s that no two people leave The Gathering with the same experience. So we asked eight Gatherers what their favourite thing to actually do at The Gathering on 100 is. Their answers? Very interesting, slightly chaotic, and enough to make Kano people say, “Okay… where do I register?”
1. Pull Up to the Pitchathon and Watch Someone’s Life Change
— Susan, Entrepreneur, Aba.
“The Pitchathon in Aba was the highlight for me. I didn’t register, but I watched my friend Deborah pitch her food processing business alongside nine other startups. She walked away with third place and won ₦1,000,000 in startup funding. Next time The Gathering comes to my city, I’m definitely registering for the Pitchathon and pitching my logistics business and I already know I’m going to win!”
2. Enter the Gaming Tournament Even If You Think You’ll Lose
— Damilola, Content Creator, Lagos
“The FIFA tournament at The Gathering on 100 in Lagos? I lost in round two. I wanted to cry! But the good thing is, nobody cares if you lose. The crowd is hyped for every match. The commentary is better than DSTV. Someone’s cousin is shouting ‘Goooaaal!’ like he’s Peter Drury. It’s a whole vibe. And if you actually win? Bragging rights until the next Gathering. Plus, the prizes make sense. Just make sure you register through the link in The Gathering’s Instagram bio before you show up.”
3. Get Your Fit Off and Walk the Runway Like It’s Your Stage
— Jessica, fashion and lifestyle enthusiast, Lagos
“The Gathering on 100 is the one place where overdressing is impossible. Some of the fits in Lagos were insane! And the pictures I saw from Enugu and Aba? Even crazier. If you’re a designer, you can actually register to have your designs walk the runway. You’re not just getting visibility for your brand, you’re getting real customers too, because buyers actually show up. With money. Not just ‘DM for price’ energy.”
4. Network Like Your Life Depends on It (Because It Kinda Does)
— Stanley, Entrepreneur, Lagos
“The Gathering on 100 is one place where you can actually meet people. Potential investors, business partners, clients, just name it. I came to The Gathering with my business cards and products, handed out samples to a good number of people, and got plenty of orders and referrals from the people I met there. Just show up as yourself, talk to people, and collect numbers. But also, actually follow up. Don’t be the person with 47 new contacts and zero messages sent by Monday.”
5. Dance Till You Can’t Feel Your Feet and Discover Your New Favorite DJ
— Nmesoma, Student, Aba
“I thought I was just coming to vibe small, next thing I was dancing with strangers like we had known each other for years. The energy is different. And the DJs? That’s how you accidentally discover your new favorite DJ because someone is playing a set and suddenly you’re asking, ‘Wait… who is on aux?’
6. Visit the Beauty and Craft Stations and Let Someone Transform You
— Enioluwada, Media Professional, Lagos
“My look was supposed to be simple o, just small touch-up and keep it moving. Next thing, I had gotten my nails done, my lashes done, and even got that little tattoo on my forearm I’d always wanted. I was staring at myself in the mirror like, ‘Wait… is this me?’ Don’t be surprised if you leave the beauty station and suddenly photographers are stopping to take your pictures and people want pictures with you too because your look is on 100.”
7. Sip and Paint! Literally.
— Oluchi, Corper, Enugu
“The greatest experience I enjoyed at The Gathering on 100 was Sip and Paint. Sip and Paint always felt like one of those bougie experiences where people tell you to pay ₦15K or ₦20K just to sit down and paint. But here I was, painting, sipping, and actually having the best time. I didn’t even realize I could paint like that. The Pablo Picasso in me was slowly coming alive.”
8. Bring Your Introvert Friend and Lose Them to The Gathering!
— Jenny, student, Aba
“I pulled up with my gang, including Becky, my most introverted friend. I thought she was going to find one corner, sit quietly, and just observe everybody. Next thing I knew, she was on the dance floor, doing Sip and Paint, playing games, talking to strangers, collecting numbers, and even getting a tattoo. I kept looking at her like, ‘Wait… Becky??’ Anyway, I’m glad I brought Becky to The Gathering on 100 because I think I definitely played a part in bringing out her extroverted side.”
