Vice Chairman Ladi Oluwaloni has taken charge of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA).

Details revealed that the process was kick-started on Monday, March 17, 2025, by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Sanwo-Olu reportedly directed that the “doctrine of necessity be invoked,” allowing Oluwaloni to be made acting chairman in light of the prolonged absence of Council Chairman Bola Shobowale.

The directive officially transformed Oluwaloni into acting chairman, with a budget presentation held on Friday, March 21, 2025.

News of Shobowale’s passing—after a prolonged battle with illness—broke after the budget presentation.

“The council is in mourning,” insiders revealed.

Shobowale’s last appearance at the council was on Thursday, January 30, 2025, when she made a brief visit—without leaving her vehicle—after months of absence.
