It is decided. Ademola “Demola” Adeleke the politician known as the ‘’Dancing Senator’’ is making a return to Nigeria.

And the mission is very simple he wants to pick up the gauntlet of his gubernatorial ambition.

Societynow.ng gathered that Demola who inherited the Senatorial seat of his late brother, the formidable Isiaka Adeleke better known as “Serubawon” (the fearsome one) wants to have another go at the chance of becoming the Governor of Osun State.

He was the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the last gubernatorial election in Osun state(2018) and lost in what is considered by many as disputable circumstances to incumbent Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) despite carrying the baggage of the huge controversy of demeaning educational qualification.

Demola returned to his base in America immediately after the gubernatorial election where he stayed put.

Demola’s elder brother billionaire Deji Adeleke is said to be the sponsor of the renewed ambition.

Deji Adeleke who is the father of music star Davido (David Adeleke) was also the main financier of the gubernatorial contest against Oyetola.

Societynow.ng gathered that groundwork towards helping the dancing senator retain the gubernatorial ticket of the PDP in Osun state is already at an advanced stage.

‘’It is an open secret that Demola wants to contest again and his brother Deji and other members of their political family are already hard at work to ensure remains the PDP’s gubernatorial candidate at all cost’’ societynow.ng learned.

Insiders disclosed that intense negotiation towards achieving this feat is going on within the PDP at the state and national levels.

Societynow.ng gathered that the gubernatorial aspirant is scheduled to return from America to give added weight to his ambition in the first quarter of next year- 2021.

‘’He should be in the country between February and March 2021” societynow.ng learned.

Demola Adeleke got the sobriquet Dancing Senator based on his penchant for wiggling and jiggling to melodious tunes in manners that defy societal rules.

The next Osun gubernatorial election will hold in 2022 with – all things being equal – Governor Oyetola expected to seek another term in office as the candidate of the ruling party, APC.
