Sanwo-Olu Speaks On Lagos State’s Crowning As “Sports Development Champion”

This accolade underscores the state’s unwavering commitment to using sports as a unifying tool for youth empowerment, social cohesion, and economic growth.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu expressed pride in the achievement, describing it as a testament to the state’s vision of harnessing sports to bridge divides and foster community development. “Sports serve as a great unifier, and Lagos State will continue to lead in using it as a tool for youth empowerment, social cohesion, and economic development,” he remarked.
The Governor extended his commendations to Lekan Fatodu and the Lagos State Sports Commission for their dedication and innovation in establishing Lagos as a beacon of sports excellence. Their efforts have propelled the state to this prominent position, setting the pace for other regions to follow.
Sanwo-Olu emphasized that the recognition serves as a motivation to push boundaries and set new standards for sports excellence, both within Nigeria and on the global stage.
