Reps Dep Speaker Kalu, Former Ogun Speaker Oladipo In Condolence Visit To Adewunmi Onanuga’s Family
passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday
Friday, January 17, 2025, another set of high-profile politicians paid a condolence visit to the family of Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga, the Deputy Chief Whip of the Federal House of Representatives.
The visitors were Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, and former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Muyiwa Oladipo.
Onanuga, famously known as Ijaya, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
Her death continues to evoke widespread grief and anguish, particularly within the political circle of Ogun State.
Oladipo and Kalu’s visit to the family of Onanuga came on the heels of those of Governor Dapo Abiodun and Senator Gbenga Daniel.

Both offered heartfelt sympathies to the family for their devastating loss.
Oladipo, a multiple-term commissioner in Ogun State, hails from Sagamu, the same base as Onanuga.
The frontline member of the Senator Ibikunle Amosun political family visited 24 hours after issuing a statement expressing profound grief over the sudden demise.
Oladipo declared that Onanuga’s passing has left an irreplaceable void across different spheres.
“Rt. Hon. Onanuga’s tireless efforts to uplift her people and her unwavering dedication to public service will remain a testament to her strength and resilience. She was a confidant, mother, sister, and friend whose love and laughter enriched many lives,” he asserted in the tribute.
