Over 5000 Guests Including President Muhammadu Buhari, 36 State Govs, Over 500 Religious Leaders Scheduled For HID Awolowo’s Burial

Over 5000 guests are scheduled to attend the burial of matriarch Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo.

The includes President Muhammadu Buhari, 36 state governors Ogun state disclosed it has invited, over 500 religious leaders and others from different walks of life home and abroad.

Trending information revealed that the Awolowo family on Thursday November 5 2015 made disclosure the numbers of invited guest at media briefing.

The funeral is billed for Ikenne , the home of the deceased.
Additional details released have it that the burial is earmarked for Saturday November 15 to Wednesday November 25.

The Burial Chairperson accompanied by his elder sister, Tola Oyediran unveiled specifics of the celebration of life thus :

November 15 at 12 pm: Lying-in-state at Park Lane, Apapa, Lagos, followed by Christian interdenominational service.

November 16: Body would depart to Ibadan and lying-in-state at Oke Bola, Ibadan.

November 17-24: Lying-in-state at Ikenne, home town of the Awolowos.

The burial committee also revealed that Our Saviour Anglican Church, where the service would hold has capacity for 619 people but provisions has been made for large television screens around the church and Awolowo Square for guests.
Other areas were special allocations have been made to cater for the numbers of expected guests are divulged as security, transportation, church service, medical services.

Glimpse into expected religious leaders reveal Pastors Adejare Adeboye of Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, and Tunde Bakare of Latter Rain Assembly, as well as 60 Anglican Bishops, 300 Priests

Top rate musicians Sunny Ade, Ebenezer Obey, Adewale Ayuba, Funmi Aragbaye, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal and a collage of performers are scheduled to provide entertainment in talk of the town affair planned to have a no vehicular movement in and out of Ikenne on the last day as part of moves to control traffic.
