Emerging details have it that there is a particular road that increasing numbers of commuters are afraid of plying in Ogun, the state that has Dapo Abiodun as Governor.

Those in the know identify the place as “Ilaro road, along Oke Ata, Ibara Orile”

Societynow.ng gathered the axis is also famously known as “Sokoto road” in Yewa North Local Government Area.

It is a part of Ogun West.

The information available has it that growing numbers of unreported cases of kidnap appear to have taken hold of the area.

The abductors are said to seize people from commercial vehicles in increasing incidents.

There are also said to be abductions from a prayer mountain and farm among talked-about cases spreading growing panic among those plying the road.

Some of the alleged incidents of abductions creating fear in commuters are that of the wife of a fish pond owner with a N5million ransom allegedly paid. A man at a prayer mountain with an undisclosed amount of payment before his release. And a woman forced out of a commercial vehicle, assaulted in custody, and released after receipt of five hundred thousand naira ransom.

The information at hand revealed that though police patrols are usually spotted in the area and law enforcers constantly urge road users not to tarry on the road – the situation remains a thing of concern for those forced to ceaselessly travel road.

Societynow.ng gathered that the fear of those forced to travel the road on daily basis is rooted in the conviction that criminal elements resident in the area are complicit in the growing cases.
