Ibesikpo Asutan LG Boss Edidiong Inyang Talks On Journey So Far As Secretariat Wears New Look

The Council Secretariat of Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area in Nung Udoe has been in the news of recent for good as the Council boss, Evang Edidiong lnyang has changed the former look of the edifice to a modern structure occasioned by his massive renovations that has added to the aesthetics of the ancient Local Government bloc which pundits described as a big and timely step in his less than 3 months administration. 

For the records,the Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Chairman will clock 100 days in office on Tuesday the 14th day of January, 2025 with lined up of activities to mark the epoch-making event. 

Speaking to newsmen at the Council Secretariat on Saturday while inspecting the ongoing finishing touches of work done, Hon.Inyang,on where he gets the financial resources to embark on such mind blowing renovations in the Council said he does not manufacture money but he is driven by a positive mindset and the willpower to prove a point to naysayers. 

“To be able to perform excellently and incredibly,it is not all about money,you must first of all,equate the love of yourself to others. 

For me,having spent 7 good years in the Council as a Secretary and Vice Chairman, there was always this feeling in me that if I am given an opportunity,I will pursue performance with anger and change the hitherto status quo.  

I kept telling people that where our  Local Government is cited is like a spotlight to the entire State and that having found myself in the Local Government with the largest round-about in history,I always tell myself Edidiong Inyang,please don’t fail. 

And being a local government that our dear Governor,my boss, Pastor Umo Eno traverse severally to his home town and also a Local Government that leads to others like Nsit Ibom,Eket,Ibeno,Esit Eket,it is a booster for me to raise my standard”he averred.  

The Council boss said without being biased and sentimental,his performance is not in anywhere to spite any previous government, but rather,he came with advancement mentality and so far it is working because the people are appreciating the result. 

Evangelist Edidiong Inyang used the opportunity to thank His Excellency, the Governor for supporting the emergence of young men in governance,a benevolence that has found him worthy and affirmed that he will not fail his people. 

Reeling out his strides, the Chairman said he has ignited the bond between the elders as all the elders and stakeholders were together on his invitation to mark the yuletide at the Council Hall in December where he assured that the unity will continue. 

Other feat attained by the Ibesikpo Asutan Council boss include the renovation of the Legislative wing of the Council for convenience of the Legislators,upgrading of the monthly stipend of all the Ward Chairmen and Women Leaders,upgrading of the monthly stipend of the Village Heads(79 in number), marking of monthly birthdays to staff with packages among other achievements which he said will be captured in his 100 days in office  compendium.

For the next chapter,Rt.Hon.(Evang) Edidiong Inyang unveiled his plans to include the building of a modern ICT Centre where the youths will research free,attracting of JAMB Centre that will save students from Ibesikpo Asutan extraction the stress of going to Uyo for preparatory classes, building of an Ultra-Modern Stadium where the talent of the young men will be brought to reality, renovation and upgrading of the Council Hall,amongst others.  

On his dream for Ibesikpo Asutan in the next 3 years, the Chairman simply maintain that at his exit he will write his name in gold with affinity to his people and with overall  performance.
