Chief Of Naval Staff Commissions Quick Impact Projects

On Friday, 19 December 2025, the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Idi Abbas (Admiralty Medal), commissioned Special Intervention Quick Impact Projects at Dungaje Community, Mona Ward, Cham Chiefdom, Balanga Local Government Area of Gombe State.

The projects, facilitated by Rear Admiral Umar Sam Ayuba Chugali (Rtd), include a 30,000-litre solar-powered borehole, rehabilitation of three 15,000-litre solar-powered boreholes, four blocks of three classrooms, and two blocks of two-bedroom staff quarters.

The projects were executed under the CNS Special Intervention Quick Impact Project Scheme to improve water supply and educational facilities in Dungaje and neighbouring communities, including Kwarge and Jublan.

The CNS was represented at the event by the project facilitator, who noted that the intervention supports public health, education and community development.In their remarks, the Deputy Governor of Gombe State, Dr Manassah Jatau, urged the community to protect and maintain the facilities, while the Paramount Ruler of Cham, Dr James Chachis, commended the Nigerian Navy for addressing critical community needs, particularly access to clean water.
