Abdul Samad Rabiu, Founder and Executive Chairman of BUA Group, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where discussions focused on recent positive economic trends, particularly in the food sector.

The industry giant highlighted the progress made in reducing food prices in Nigeria, noting BUA’s contributions in lowering the cost of rice and other essential commodities.

He observed that the strengthening of the exchange rate and the reduced reliance of businesses on foreign exchange from the Central Bank were clear indicators of an improving business environment.

The BUA Group, one of Africa’s largest conglomerates, operates in key sectors of the Nigerian economy including cement, sugar, foods, infrastructure, and real estate.

Through its integrated operations, the Group has played a central role in improving local production capacities, creating jobs, and reducing the country’s dependence on imports. In the food sector,

BUA has invested heavily in rice milling, sugar refining, flour milling, and edible oils, positioning itself as a key player in ensuring food security and price stability for Nigerian consumers.
