All Eyes On Bishop Oyedepo With Sunday Service Just Hours Away!

All eyes are on Bishop David Oyedepo as the weekly Sunday Service forbidden in the attempt to stop the spread of the dreaded Coronavirus nears.

Oyedepo who heads the Living Church Worldwide better known as Winners Chapel, in a major breakaway from other leads Christian Ministeries, held Sunday Service last week contrary to the directive given by the government – to the horror of health issues experts.

The government ordered all religious organizations to shun any form of gathering particularly the Friday Muslim prayers and Christian Sunday Services in a very vital move to spread the scourge of global threat Coronavirus ( Covid-19).
Majority of the the leading religious leaders complied except a few with Oyedepo at the forefront.

Many were particular about Oyedepo because his ministry’s worship theater holds thousands of worshippers and most come from the state with the arrest numbers of infection in the country – Lagos.

” The church was filled to capacity last week with the larger percentage of the worshippers from Lagos State” societynow.ng learned.

The backlash over putting the whole country at major health risk by holding the Sunday Service forced a statement from Winners Chapel that attempted to play down the situation and a behind the scene apology from Oyedepo to Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun who came under heavy pressure to sanction the Winners Chapel’s Bishop.

Faith Terbanacle, inside Canaan land where Oyedepo operates from, is situated in Sango- Ota, Ogun State.

Societynow.ng learned that at last Sunday’s service Oyedepo told the worshippers that Winners Chapel will not stop any of its services throughout the Coronavirus threats.

“All eyes are now on him to see whether he shove aside the health concerns raised in the backlash of his action last week and the remorse in his apology to Governor Abiodun and hold another Service tomorrow as he proclaimed to his worshippers or not” societynow.ng learned.
