Abiodun Adamant In Refusal To Stay In Ogun Govt House

Governor of Ogun state, Dapo Abiodun, remains adamant in his refusal to stay in his designated official quarters.

The Governor, who was re-elected in March 2023, did not stay in the place throughout his first term (2019 to 2023).

Now, a year into his second term, he is yet to move in, continuing instead to make use of the Presidential Lodge – reserved for visiting dignitaries.

The Presidential Lodge and Government House are located in different parts of the state capital.

While the Government House is situated in Isale Igbein, the Presidential Lodge is located within the Government Reserved Area (GRA).

Abiodun’s decision not to use his designated official quarters is believed to have roots in an intense rivalry with his predecessor, Ibikunle Amosun – with associated talks of “things beyond the ordinary” being touted here and there.
