Storm currently making waves on Nigerian campuses.
The anxious students of the institution which is located on the suburb of Owerri are looking forward to having an exciting evening during the mega concert, the type of which has not happened in the school before.
An undergraduate of the school, Samson Onuoha, said in a joyful tone, “We are seriously waiting for the show. Music concerts of this magnitude rarely happen in this school. I’m sure students from other institutions around like FUTO (Federal University of Tehnology, Owerri) will also attend the show”.
Leading artistes such as MI, Omawumi, and Victoria Kimani are scheduled to entertain the students. Ace Comedian, Gordons, will tickle the audience with rib-cracking jokes as he anchors the event, while DJ XGEE is expected to keep the students on their feet dancing all through the night.
The sponsor, Globacom, said in a statement that the Glo Campus Storm initiative is a demonstration of the high premium it places on students and Nigerian youths.
“We have built a very good relationship with them over time and regularly, we entertain them with the best of Nigerian artistes, knowing their love for music. The Glo Campus Storm concert is an entertainment show designed to reward students nationwide and give them the opportunity of winning mouth-watering prizes and becoming Glo Campus ambassadors”, the statement read.
“Two of the 10 Glo Campus ambassadors who will emerge from the Federal Polytechnic will go home with N100,000 each for winning the ‘Glo Data Dude’ and ‘Glo Data Diva’ competitions”, the company explained.
Globacom added that those who come tops in the competition will compete with 230 winners from other institutions for the Glo Ambassador slots and also win N1m worth of scholarship which is the star prize in the male and female categories.
