“Why Will They Use Live Bullets?” – Tinubu Asks Over 10hrs After Attack On #EndSars Protesters In Lekki

The shots caller in the politics of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has finally reacted to the shooting of #EndSars protesters in Lagos State.

Tinubu who spoke in a telephone interview with Channels Television – according to a report monitored by societynow.ng on an34.net – about 12hours after the unfortunate incident which transpired at the Lekki Toll Gate, Lagos State sated

“Why will they use live bullets? I will never, never be part of any carnage. I will never be part of that.
“I have no dime, no kobo investment in the Lekki Concession Company.

“We are about 13 to 14 days into the protests now. Before now, I was being accused and reported to the Presidency that I was behind the protests, that I was a sponsor of the protests.
“I denied the allegation and appealed to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to respond to the demands of the protesters.
“That was why Sanwo-Olu set up the Judicial Commission of Inquiry. The governor has gone to the home of one of the victims to appeal to them.
“He has put N200m together as part of restitution and compensation for those attacked,”
The shooting reportedly carried out by the military which transpired in the evening of October 20, 2020 at the Lekki Toll Gate has resulted in a repercussion of pocketful of violence in other parts of the state.
