Lagos Commissioner, Demorin Kuye In Street Fight, Pummels Party Member Blue Black!

Friday April 4 2014, Lagos Commissioner- Ademorin Aliu Kuye was the cynosure of all eyes at a gathering of faithfuls of his political party, All Progressive Alliance.

The man incharge of the Local Government and Chieftancy ministry of the state was the lead cast of a street brawl.

Mr Demorin reportedly pummelled fellow party member, Olugbenga Hakeem Abdullahi to a state of multiple injuries.

The development that started off with what was labelled ‘surprise slaps and blows that threw Gbenga off his seat’ transpired at Somolu Local Government Banquet Hall during a crucial political gathering.

According to a source ‘Kuye, who is a former Chairperson of Somolu Local Government Council, was attempting to impress it upon the gathering to support his motion that candidates for the forthcoming Ward Congress should be exempted from screening. Evidently, Kuye’s motion didn’t sit well with the other politicians and they voiced out their protestation. This was said to have drawn Kuye’s ire. Abdullahi, who was sitting close to Kuye, had attempted to caution him on the implication of his motion on the party, when he (Kuye) turned to him and landed him a couple of blows ‘

The blows reportedly spiralled into kicks that knocked the victim off his seat.

Supporters of the Commissioner reportedly joined in the fray.

Attempts by sympathisers to wrest the victim- and loyalists of the state cabinet member to protect their principal from possible backlash reportedly threw up a commotion that put an end to the gathering.

Sources divulged the victim Gbenga Abdullahi and his sympathisers have reported a case of assault against the commissioner at police station in the area, Alade.

A petition against Commissioner Ademorin Kuye is said to have been filed Panti, Police Station.

Insiders revealed similar details are being forwarded to party leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and State Governor, Babatunde Fashola.
