‘My Husband Drinks Champagne, Not Alcohol’, Governor Willie Obiano’s Wife, Ebele To Lawmaker, Uche Ekwunife In Travel With President’s Wife Foreign Trip Dispute That Had Monikers ‘Prostitute’ & ‘Killer’ Freely Used!

Ebele, wife of the governor Anambra state, Willie Obiano was the butt of unending comic in a volatile situation recently.

The Anambra first lady was reportedly on the entourage of Dame Patience Jonathan, wife of President Jonathan Goodluck to Poland recently.

Also on the trip was listed Federal law maker from the state and former gubernatorial aspirant, Uche Ekwunife and friends of the First Lady led by confidante Bola Shagaya.

Sources claimed Ebele had serially shunned Ekwunife on the trip until another of the President’s wife crew took her up on it, in the present of all.

The Governor’s wife had reportedly in languages that describe the female law maker as of easy virtues.
Ebele amongst other things is described as pointedly saying ‘I do not greet prostitutes’.

And retort that drew more damaging caustic response from the subject of her disparaging statements.

Ekwunife is reportedly to have responded ‘That you killed your husband’s first wife for him to marry you does not mean you can deal with other women [Ebere Obiano use to be the secretary to Obiano until he lost the wife and married her]; that you are dealing with your alcoholic husband does not mean you can deal with me,”

Sources claim Ebele’s response turned the gathering into a theatre of derisive laughter at her expense.

She is said to have replied ‘ my husband drinks champagne not alcohol’

The exchange was said to have turned more ugly and to the point of physical attack before wife of the President put a stop it. She reportedly chided the duo for their lack of manners, but with words of more weighty consequence to Mrs Obiano.

Findings trace the deep seated quarrel between Ebele Obiano and Uche Ekwunife to the latter’s defeat in the APGA (All Progressive Grand Alliance) Gubernatorial Primaries that threw up Willie Obiano as party flag bearer in the election that produced the incumbent Governor.

Ekwunife’s view of the Obiano’s and APGA is such that she dumped the party for the PDP, (People’s Democratic Party) in protest.

It is the spill over of the Anambra politics that played out in the trip with the President’s wife.
