“Nigeria Must Look Inward To Take Creative Economy Global” — NECLive
scheduled for Thursday, November 12, 2026, at Alliance Française, Lagos.
Nigeria’s creative economy must increasingly look inward and harness the strength of its domestic audience, talent and demand if the country is to build stronger creative businesses and deepen its global influence, organisers of NECLive 2026 have said.
The position forms the central theme of the 2026 edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive), scheduled for Thursday, November 12, 2026, at Alliance Française, Lagos.
With the theme, “Home Advantage: Transforming Local Demand into Global Power,” NECLive 2026 will examine how Nigeria’s music, film, fashion and wider creative industries can turn the strength of the local market into sustainable businesses and greater global reach.
According to the organisers, Nigeria’s creative industries have already built substantial audiences beyond the country, but the next opportunity lies in asking what can be built from the demand, talent and audience available at home.
The conference is expected to bring together creators, industry leaders and businesses operating around the creative sector for conversations, case studies and performances focused on the opportunities and challenges confronting the industry.
The organisers said the 2026 edition would also create room for emerging voices alongside established industry stakeholders, with discussions expected to focus on practical issues facing creators and creative businesses.
NECLive is a leading industry gathering focused on Nigeria’s entertainment and creative economy, bringing together stakeholders across music, film, fashion, media and related businesses to discuss developments, opportunities and challenges shaping the sector.
The organisers said further details on the programme and participating speakers would be announced ahead of the conference.
