Accidents: Federal Works Ministry Begins Kwara Bridge

Report of ghastly accidents on Oko Olowo road are about to become a thing of the past. This is as Federal Ministry of Works has commenced the construction of the much-needed flyover on the road for smoother and safer passage of vehicles and pedestrians in the area.
A major road connecting North to the southern part of the country, the project has finally come to fruition following the persistent efforts of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and other stakeholders from the state.
During an official inspection visit to Kwara in October 2025, Minister for Works Engr David Umahi told the Governor the project was going to take off in this year following the president’s approval.
In June 2026, Ministry of Works announced the road construction work alongside other major road projects in Kwara, Kogi, and Oyo State.
Excited residents of Oko Olowo and surrounding communities have started praying and commending President Bola Tinubu and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his unrelenting efforts in bringing ease and development to the state.
