Kwara Approves Outstanding Furniture, Robe Allowances For State Counsels

as part of efforts to strengthen workers’ welfare

The Kwara State Government has approved the payment of outstanding Furniture and Robe Allowances for State Counsels in the employment of State Government, as part of efforts to strengthen workers’ welfare and address legitimate outstanding entitlements.

The Acting Head of Service, Dr. Olufunke Mercy Shittu, disclosed this in a memo on the outstanding allowances following a review of demands presented by the Law Officers Association of Nigeria (LOAN), Kwara State Chapter.

Dr. Shittu explained that the approvals cover the outstanding balance of the 2016 – 2020 Furniture Allowance, the 2024 Furniture Allowance, as well as Robe Allowances for 2024 – 2026.

The Acting Head of Service noted that the approvals underscored the commitment of the present administration to the welfare of workers.

She further disclosed that the Honourable Commissioner for Finance had been directed to implement the approved payments.

Dr. Shittu appreciated the State Government for prioritizing the welfare of workers in the State and for approving the settlement of the outstanding allowances due to State Counsels.
