The World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) has announced the appointment of new members into its Executive Committee, drawing senior executives from leading global brands and national advertiser associations.

The appointments were unveiled as part of the WFA Global Marketer Week held in Stockholm, Sweden, where the global body continues to strengthen its leadership structure with a mix of corporate and industry voices.

Among those named is O’tega Ogra, Vice-President of the Advertisers Association of Nigeria and Senior Special Assistant on Digital Communications, Engagement and New Media Strategy to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, marking a notable inclusion from Nigeria in the global advertising leadership circle.

Ogra joins representatives from multinational companies including Driscoll’s, Haleon, Ikea and Nissan, as well as industry leaders from organisations such as Best Buy, Danone, Diageo, Grab, Kenvue and Tata Group.

Also appointed to the Executive Committee are Josh Faulks, Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Advertiser Association (AANA), and Simon Michaelides, Director General of the UK advertiser association (ISBA), further reinforcing the global spread of representation within the WFA leadership.

Meanwhile, WFA President David Wheldon and Deputy President Philip Myers will continue in their current roles, alongside all regional vice presidents.

The newly announced members include Jiunn Shih, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Driscoll’s; Silas-Lewis Meilus, Global Head of Media Operations at Haleon; Joel Renkema, Global Head of Insights at Ikea; and José Román, Corporate Executive Global Sales and Marketing at Nissan.

The appointments reflect WFA’s ongoing effort to deepen industry collaboration and bring diverse global perspectives into its decision-making structure.
