Supporters of Senator Solomon Adeola have hit town with fresh campaign material, countering claims of a rift between him and Governor Dapo Abiodun.

The images, taken at the traditional wedding reception of Olufunbi Olowolafe — son of influential contractor Tunji Olowolafe — show Yayi and the Governor seated side by side throughout the event.

The pictures are now being widely shared by the Senator’s camp to dispel persistent rumours of a deep-seated cold war.

Adeola, the long-standing front-runner in the 2027 Ogun governorship race, is believed to be facing resistance from forces around Abiodun, despite his pivotal role in the Governor’s 2019 victory and 2023 re-election.

Though talks of a simmering conflict continue to trend, Yayi has repeatedly denied any fallout.
