Why It’s Wrong To Say Dapo Abiodun’s Promise Of 13th Month Salary To Ogun Workers Ended In A Mere N3k!

The information available to societynow.ng revealed that it is not correct to say that the 13th-month salary given to workers in Ogun State by the administration of governor Dapo Abiodun was a mere three thousand Naira (N3,000).
”Saying Ogun state workers got 3k (three thousand Naira) as 13th-month salary is playing politics with the truth. The 13th-month salary was ten (10) percent of the basic salary of the workers. Depending on the level of the workers, some got less than three thousand Naira, some got more and some got just three thousand Naira. And this was the arrangement in place before Dapo Abiodun became governor. 10 percent of the basic salary was what Amosun (immediate past Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun) paid as 13th-month salary to workers all through his eight years reign” a source explained.
Another source, however, added ” it’s possible people are creating talks out of the development because of the huge expectations or desire for great change in a lot of things when Dapo Abiodun became governor but the reality is that such changes if it is to be meaning full and long-lasting requires solid foundation and time for the proper structure to sustain them to be put in place”.
