Wedding Ends In Violence As Kwankwaso, Ganduje’s Supporters Engage in Bloody Fight

A wedding fatiha staged in Kano ended in violence on Sunday.

This development is due to a bloody fight between supporters of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and those of his predecessor Rabiu Kwankwaso.

Six persons were reportedly injured in the fight allegedly instigated by Abdullahi Abbas, the commissioner for special duties.

Two of the commissioner’s children were reportedly involved in the fight according to information sourced from thecable.

Further details sourced from the report on thecable revealed that a week to the bloody engagement, Abbas had publicly urged residents to stone former governor Kwankwaso in a video that trended online.

The development is the fallout of raging fight for control of the political machinery of the state between Kwankwaso and Ganduje.

The former Governor and the incumbent are both members of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

All those injured in the bloody fight that soured the wedding engagement were reportedly rushed to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital for treatment.
