Videos: LASG Takes Back Okunde Bluewater Scheme As Tussle With NIWA Deepens
two weeks ago launched an aggressive takeover of schemes illegally occupied
Lagos State government on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, took over the possession of the Okunde Bluewater Scheme in Lekki, Lagos state.

The re-possession exercise was led by the Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure Development, Hon Ekundayo Alebiosu and the representative of the Commissioner for Physical Planning who is also the permanent secretary, Engr Olumide Sotire.
The combined team had last week Wednesday taken possession of the scheme illegally occupied by the National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA and miscreants.
But acting on a tip off, the team again visited on Wednesday morning only to discover that NIWA had taken over the scheme, again.
This however led to a repossession of the scheme by the Lagos state government officials.
It will be recalled that the Ekundayo Alebiosu led Ministry of waterfront infrastructure development had two weeks ago launched an aggressive takeover of schemes illegally occupied by miscreants and NIWA.
