“I subscribe to it as much as I shall ensure its implementation, religiously”, Hope Uzodinma has declared regarding the recent charter of equity drawn up by the Imo State Council of Elders.

The charter of equity aims to ensure an even spread of political positions across the state.

The Governor who is seeking a second term in office made his stance on the development made known in a post made today, May 14, 2023.

The post which disclosed that Uzodinma was part of the 2023 Imo Prayer Summit reads…

Yesterday, I joined the Imo State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and other well-meaning citizens of the State at the Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu Square (RANKS) for the 2023 Imo Prayer Summit.

Peace and unity as a component of the theme are virtues that every society needs for a sustainable development and it’s very timely especially as we move closer to the Governorship election in our dear State.

It is not out of place for our society to experience political gimmicks from political players however, the bigger picture should be about the collective interest of the people other than a selfish desire.

I am glad that our people have embraced the restored peaceful atmosphere in our dear State and the direction of our developmental drive which is focused towards building a society for the benefit of all.

To this, I commend the Imo State Council of Elders, for the charter of equity justly produced to ensure an equitable spread of political positions across our State and I subscribe to it as much as I shall ensure its implementation, religiously.

As an incumbent administration, our second missionary journey will consolidate on the gains recorded within our first tenure instead of the unbalancing by a newer administration. I appeal to our people, for your support to this God-sent administration of mine as I reassure a transformed Imo State.

– Hope Uzodimma
