Tinubu Pledges to Complete Eastern Rail Line During Enugu Visit, Affirms “We Are One Family “

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has pledged his administration’s unwavering commitment to completing the Eastern Rail Line, which connects Port Harcourt to Maiduguri, as part of efforts to enhance regional connectivity and drive economic growth.
The President made this declaration during his visit to Enugu State, where he inaugurated key projects executed by Governor Peter Mbah’s administration.
“My administration is committed to completing the Eastern rail line, connecting Port Harcourt to Maiduguri,” President Tinubu stated.
He also announced plans to support the development of the Anambra Basin, which is rich in oil and gas resources, as part of broader efforts to stimulate economic activity in the South East and beyond.
Commending Governor Mbah for his “remarkable leadership,” Tinubu praised the state’s advancements in infrastructure, security, healthcare, and education under his watch. “This leadership is evident in the burgeoning infrastructure, enhanced security measures, and improving access to education and healthcare by the citizens,” he said.
The President highlighted the importance of unity and collaboration in building a prosperous Nigeria, urging leaders and citizens alike to work together toward a common goal. “We are members of one family held by a single umbilical cord; hence, we must work together to develop the Nigeria we desire. When we work together, we can build a prosperous future for our nation,” he affirmed.
The visit, Tinubu’s first official engagement of the year, was marked by a warm reception from the Enugu State government and the people of the South East.
He expressed gratitude to the leaders and citizens for their hospitality, saying, “Thank you, Enugu!”
