Tension Soars In Ekiti As Fayose Barricades Assembly Complex Over Last Minute Attempt By APC Lawmakers At Impeachment
Tension is soaring in Ekiti state again.
And it is caused by usual suspects, Governor Ayo Fayose on one side and the All Progressives Congress state lawmakers led by Speaker Adewale Omirin on the other side.
And the reason for renewed fight after much publicised truce?
The law makers claim Governor Ayo Fayose has renege on agreement to pay their outstanding allowances and salaries and they are back on the battle field with him.
They were said to have kick started moves towards a last minute impeachment of the Ekiti governor.

The lawmakers who failed to secure re election winds up their tenure on Thursday June 4 2015.
But Governor Fayose who claimed to have paid the said salaries have put plans in place to foil plot to unseat him whether legally or illegally.
He is said to have barricaded all roads and entry points to the State House of Assemble complex- and taking to the radio and television stations in the state to drum up support of the residents.
Sources claimed already he has the transport Union to his side , with the members and other sympathisers patrolling the streets of Ekiti looking for the APC members to stop their movement.
The impeachment threatening lawmakers are said to be coming in from Osun state as at press time.
Information filtering in revealed residents are apprehensive of been caught in between the faction seeking to retain his seat and those attempting to seat him should things turn ugly.
Past political engagements in the state have witnessed bloodshed.
