Senator Lanre Tejuosho Battles Consuming Curse
That Senator Lanre Tejuosho is intensely battling to retain his party ticket is no longer news.
There is a hidden knowledge is in the reality of his situation, it is far more damning.
The son of Osile of Oke Ona Egba faces political oblivion if he fails to retain the position as Senator representing Ogun Central.
And to do this, he needs to retain the ticket of his political party, the All Progressives Congress.
Governor Ibikunle Amosun is said to be interested in his seat.
Sources claim the Governor is seeking ways to return the Senate – his last position before he became number one citizen of Ogun state – based on permutation of becoming Senate President – in the next political dispensation.
Governor Amosun is intensely loyal of re-election seeking President Muhammadu Buhari, who requires such a hardcore supporter in the Senate.
Findings by societynow.ng revealed as tough as it sounds, Tejuosho’s dread is beyond that.
Though interwoven with the threat from Amosun, societynow.ng gathered Tejuosho’s primary concern is breaking the political curse of his position.
No Ogun Central Senator has succeeded in achieving two terms in office, including governor Amosun – when he held the position.
And only Amosun has been fortunate to move on to a greater height.
For Tejuosho, who is in the ruling party and considered far less influential than Dimeji Bankole a politician from the same region in far lesser known political platform, this is statics is said to be particularly worrying.
‘’And he should be very worried” a source insisted and explained ‘’a sitting Senator who was harshly and publicly disowned by party men in his constituency, in favor of supporting the governor with an election just around the corner, he has every reason to worry”.
Societynow.ng gathered though, a compromise was alleged reached in the arrangement that brought Senator Tejuosho back to APC, after less than a day defection from the party, the talks around are that the political curse threw past occupiers out of office after a single term, is about to consume the prince from Oke Ona Egba.
