Re-Election Hunting Gov Obaseki Goes To Buhari For Help Over Dimming Chances Of Retaining APC Guber Ticket

Re-election hunting governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has taken his case to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Obaseki is facing stiff opposition at retaining the gubernatorial ticket of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the June 22 governorship primary election of the party.
The Edo State Gubernatorial election is scheduled for September 19, 2020.
Obaseki faced strong opposition from the man that helped him to power Adams Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of his party.
Oshiomhole who is the immediate past Governor of Edo state has faced intense persecution, abuse, and harassment since Obaseki assumed office – including multiple attempts to take his position.
Oshiomhole though hard hit, survived it and launched back into a position of strength with the demise of Abba Kyari, the powerful chief of staff to President Muhammadu Buhari who helped to cage the National Chairman.
With the tide greatly turned against him, Obaseki has ‘’transformed’’ into a ‘’pleading man’’ seeking reconciliation with Oshiomhole in the bid to secure his second term ticket.
The last of his ‘’plea’’ moves is the visit to President Buhari today societynow.ng learned.
