Police Boss Owoseni Deploys 30,000 Men For Lagos Council Election

Emerging details have it, Fatai Owoseni the Lagos state police commissioner is preparing hard for Saturday Local Government election.

He is keen to have a violence free exercise on Saturday July 22.
And has deployed all of 33,000 men to achieve this obejctive.
Outside of this, the state’s number one police commissioner also revealed the police and sister agencies have been meeting to ensure the election is violence free.

The meeting is said to have resulted in the setting up of an ‘’ inter-agency committee’’  and drawing up of an ‘’operational plan ‘’ with special attention on flash points.

The efforts of the deployed 33,000 policemen are expected to be complemented with those of other personnel from sister security agencies.

Declared the police boss in a recent chat with media men ‘’ “We are using this forum to warn all those, who plan to cause trouble or truncate the exercise that they won’t be given any chance. Violence would not be tolerated. We are poised to ensure that the election and electioneering are devoid of violence.’’
