Oil Mogul Jide Omokore Wriggles Out Of Prosecutor’s Jaws With Plea To Refund $2billion Of Alleged $3billion Petrol Fraud!

Oil Mogul Jide Omokore has wriggled out of the jaws prosecutors.

And he perfected this with pleas to refund a big portion of the unremited funds traced to him in multiple dealings with the NNPC ( Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation).

Societynowng.com learnt a whopping $3billion was traced to the man said to represent interests of hidden players in the petroleum industry as off the book earnings.

The transactions involve are said to involve improper subsidy claims and un deliver crude exchange.

The big spender caught on the other side of former president Goodluck Jonathan on the tail end of his administration over guarded oil deals was said to have initially pleaded to refund $1billion out of the $3bilion traced to him.

But authorities allegedly refused.

And an agreement to pay back $2b was later agreed on.

The repayment plan is said to be a combined method of cash and kind over a specified period.

According to an insider ‘this development effectively ends Omokore’s woes with investigation that has enveloped his industry….for as long as he sticks to agreed terms’.

Further digs revealed that even if repayment of $2billion brought him grimy joy- though he escapes prosecution and possible jail term- , Omokore has cause for better happiness.

One of his companies, Seven Energy and a couple of subsidiaries just secured a $52m debt funding.

Sources divulged the loan facility was secured last month.

‘This is a welcome development for him because it gives Omokore’s business empire better room to operate’ a watcher of event claimed.
