There is a growing scandal in the Akinruntan’s family.

And at the heart of this growing mess is the extra marital exploits of Yomi, son of the Olugbo of Ugbo kingdom and power behind the operations of Obat Petroleum, Monarch obateru Akinruntan.

All is presently not well in the home of Yomi, son of business mogul and Olugbo of Ugboland, Oba Frederick Akinruntan.

Investigations revealed that Yomi’s wife, Olamide is at the centre of a threat to life scandal which court result in police trouble and legal hassles.

The story is that Lamide, Yomi’s wife and one Laide Badmus, an Ibadan girl used to be friends in the past.

The issue now however is that Lamide is accusing her old friend, Laide, of befriending her husband.

This, according to sources, has made the said Laide to be at the receiving end of abusive messages on the social media and some even going to the extent of threatening her life.

It was gathered that Laide wrote a petition to the police in which she claimed that her life was being threatened by one Seun Eboda, also known as ‘Maja’.

Findings have also revealed that the said Maja is Lamide’s elder brother and he got the nickname Maja back in his days as a member of the Ibadan Grammar School’s football team when his exploits were likened to those of Rabah Madjer, the captain of the Algerian national soccer team in the 1990 African Cup of Nations.

Checks also revealed that Laide became scared when she started reading accusations on social media and from their mutual friends that she is dating Lamide’s husband.

Meanwhile, those in the know claimed that Lamide’s marriage has been having issues from the onset, as her father in-law, Oba Akinruntan was said to have never been in supportive of their union.

The monarch was said to have been against her conduct, which he believed were unbecoming of a future queen.

It was claimed in some quarters that Yomi had sent Lamide packing from their matrimonial home over a year ago, but that she refused to go.

Findings have also revealed that Yomi had a serious relationship with a lady by the name Ronke (now a lawyer) back in their school days before he reportedly had a fling with Lamide and the latter came up with a pregnancy that eventually led to marriage.

It has also been alleged that part of the reasons Yomi sent Lamide packing was because of her wayward and unruly lifestyle as she has allegedly dated many big boys in Lagos and she usually gets in the news for wrong reasons.

While some believe Lamide might have a point in the disagreement with Laide, some others who claim to be in the know opined that she might just be trying to drag people into her failed marriage because, they based their belief on the fact that this is not the first time she is accusing people of sleeping with her husband.

It was also gathered that sometime ago, she accused one of Yomi’s political associates, Kemi Akinyele of dating her husband.

Prince Yomi Akinruntan, who is contesting for a Federal legislative seat in Ondo State, could not be reached on his phone as of the time of filing this report.

Neither could his wife Lamide nor her friend Laide be reached for their sides of the story.
