No Reconciliation In Sight For Gov Ibikunle Amosun, Striking Ogun Workers As Mother Of All Rallies Is Planned To Rock Oke Mosan Seat Of Power On Monday

Information filtering in revealed there appears to be no reconciliation in sight for Governor Ibikunle Amosun and striking workers in Ogun state.
The workers kick started a state wide strike action Monday, March 6 2016.
Part of the issues at stake in the development that has put a stop to civil servants duties in the state includes demand for stoppage of pension deductions and payment of backlog of deductions, as well as gratuities.
Local Council employees are also involved in the strike action despite the fact that unlike the other workers they are yet to receive their February 2016 salaries. Governor Amosun
The workers claim Governor Amosun signed a memorandum of Understanding with them to honour their demands in January 2016 when he persuaded them to call of a strike action on the same issues last year – 2015.
He is said to have shunned the agreement when it came to time of maturity..and turned a blind eye to the workers while the controversial deductions continue.
The workers claimed to have embraced the drastic option of strike that has kept school children and judicial workers at home to force a reaction.
Societynwng.com however learnt the only reaction the striking workers got since the stay at home action started on Monday was a directive from Secretary to the State Government directing the adopting of a ‘’no work, no pay ‘’ strategy.
Signing of attendance registers is said to be been directed to determine those who come to work.
The directive reportedly inspired some workers to return to their duty post, particularly those with offices at the Oke Mosan, Abeokuta where the Governor’s office is situated.
Societynowng.com learnt labour leaders had reacted by deploying officers to reverse the trend by going after the ‘’defaulting workers and forcing them to down tools ‘’.
And in a bid to further press home their demands, sources claim workers are being sensitised for a ‘’mother of all rallies’’ at the Oke Mosan seat of Power on Monday March 14 2016.
According to a source ‘’the plan to storm Oke Mosan and ensure all workers comply with the strike action while having a sit out at the Governor’s office as well
‘’we plan to invite the media and let the world know how the man perceived as the president’s man Friday is treating state workers’’.
