May 6 Is The Date!… Lagos Laughs Prepares To Overshadow Performance As Last Year’s Biggest Comedy Show

Last year was the maiden edition of Lagos Laughs and it had on stage over 50 comedians who performed to a sold out crowd. From Koffi, Kenny Blaq, DeeOne, TejuBabyface, Saco, Lolo, Still Ringing, Funke Akindele, Woli Arole, Gandoki, Lepacious Bose, Acapella and a host of others made a mark at the show. The show was part of the 50 years celebration of Lagos State. Lagos Laughs is back in 2018 on May 6 at the Eko Convention Centre, as it’s set to become the most hilarious comedy show of the yea.

The event, which is also in celebration of World Laughter Day will feature a power packed lineup of comedians, musicians, dancers and a host of other celebrity performances. It promises to deliver comedy and entertainment in an unusual way. Performers will be carefully screened and selected to give the audience quality value for their money and time.

Feeders from the organisers of the event shows that it’s definitely not an all comers affair but an all quality affair.

Speaking on the show, the commissioner for tourism, art and culture for Lagos State, Mr Steve Ayorinde made it known that Lagos Laughs 2018 success will far outweigh that of last year.

“Lagos Laughs held last year and was only proposed to be part of the 50 years celebration. However, the feedback from last year has convinced us that this is good for the tourism and art of Lagos State. Lagos is now a global city. Events like Lagos Laughs help to portray the mood of the city because we are happy and accommodating people. Lagos State has thrown her weight behind this year’s show and all feeders we are getting are showing that this year’s show will far surpass that of last year”, he said.

Some of the performers that are tipped to be part of this year’s Lagos Laughs include Kenny Blaq, Helen Paul, Akpororo, Dee-One, Omobaba, Saco, MC lively and kenny blaq and many others.

This is happening at the Eko Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. Red carpet starts from 5pm while it’s showtime from 6pm. Tickets for the show are available for purchase at all major ticket sales points.
