Master broadcaster, Opeyemi Fajemileyin is dead.

The definition of Radio programme artistry reportedly gave up the ghost on Tuesday November 18 2014.

The sad occurrence reportedly transpired at his Ilesha Osun state home.

Sources attribute his death to ailments defined as ‘Diabetes related’.

Fajemileyin was the darling of throngs of Radio listeners across the Southwest region – and other Yoruba speaking areas. That was the initially blow fate dealt broadcasting, language barrier limite the Radio ‘Artista’ from performing for a wider audience.

The man who created a religious following with his brand of entertaining and informative presentation was the General Manager Ara (Unique) F.M, Osun state.

The late Fajemileyin’s legend began at the old Radio Lagos where he multi tasked as an entertainer of multiple parts.

He went on to adorn a coat of many colours of commendations in his chosen field – over the years – with such programmes as ‘ Pirilologo Nji’, ‘ Fajemileyin On F.M’, ‘Fayemileyin On The Rocks’ on different radio stations.

His status as a consummate ambassador of culture broke borders with the publications of ‘’Ewi Iwoyi’ and ‘Ewi Kika Ati Kike’.

According to a keen follower of his ways ‘ he was the real deal, by kilometres apart from the hordes of mindless chatters that assault the airwaves these days’.
